Hobby


Another aerial master, one of many atCoronation pit, Stewartby. Sadly I am informed that this wildlife haven is to eventually have an industrial incinerator put in to it................

Summer Leys in N'Hants is where this character posed for the camera, a nice little reserve that gets its fair share of rarities

As the name suggests, these are very fast fliers and difficult to get clearly in the lens - this is my best effort to date but one I will strive to improve

Red footed falcon

This little chap was at 'Coronation pit', an area that was excavated for the London brick company and is now a magnet for hobbies and other falcons as well as water birds.
Sadly this site will eventually filled with household waste

This was one of a pair that were racing around the bushes calling and displaying on a beautiful day at Minsmere.

Dotterel

This pair were on a stop over during migration North, they were at Royston in a pea field, a popular crop for this species. Unfortunately they were sixty yards away but double clicking on the image will reveal a slightly better view
