I think this male sparrowhawk took the regular fieldfare that has been visiting since the Christmas snows, only time will tell if it returns quickly, The prey was obscured during the 'feast' but from the size of the organs I watched disappearing, it was a fair size, especially when it didn't carry it away after it struck. Frustratingly this was the best picture I could get.
