Long tailed tit

A stroll around Willington provided this smashing picture of a head shot, most endearing, the other picture was also pleasing.

Dartford warbler

We went to Dunwich heath 'just for a look before we go home' and sat in the car overlooking the heath and this cracking male popped up quite close and allowed me to get five pictures before he went about his business

Bearded tit

This beautiful male popped out of the reeds at the 'Island mere' hide at Minsmere, we had been give a tip that they were showing well and patience was rewarded, there were numerous others giving their 'pinging' call but not showing themselves. This was the only shot I got before he disappeared into his reedy realm

Marsh harrier

A trip to North warren on the Suffolk coast was eventually rewarded with good views. There seemed to be two pairs which spent most of the day outside camera range.

Blackcap male

This blackcap was a superb subject, flitting around near where I sat and giving many good views, I added the darker picture as it was such an unusual pose
